The Cedar Hill Fire Marshal’s Office welcomes residents, developers, special event planners, general contractors and our community stakeholders to our fire prevention informational pages. You will find important information necessary to opening a business, protecting your home or business from a fire and the steps you will need to take for submitting plans for developments and remodels. Our knowledgeable staff can provide you with information on fire inspections, fire investigation, and our many community risk reduction and community outreach programs.  

Open Burning 

The City of Cedar Hill prohibits open burning in and about the city limits. There will be no permits issued for the purpose of burning brush, leaves or trash. A permit for trench burning may be allowed for agricultural purposes. Please contact the Fire Marshal’s Office at 972-291-1011 for more information on trench burning.
