In July 2014 we launched our Facebook page as a way to help us communicate with the growing part of our community who interact on social media. Corporal Juan Herrera has been with the Cedar Hill Police Department since 1997. Corporal Herrera was promoted to his current rank in 2011 and is assigned to the P.A.C.T. / Community Service Unit. He has additional experience in the patrol and criminal investigation units.
Corporal Herrera holds an Advanced Police Officer and Instructor certifications with TCOLE.
Corporal Juan Herrera has served in the Bike Unit, Emergency Response Team, and as a Field Training Officer. He is a member of the Cedar HIll Police Department Honor Guard, Firearms Instructor, Active Shooter Instructor, Armorer, and Reality Based Training Instructor.

Officer Roy Rodriguez has served with the Cedar Hill Police Department since 2004. He is currently assigned to the P.A.C.T. / Community Service Division. Officer Rodriguez has served as a Patrolman and Detective (Sex Offender Compliance Officer).
Officer Rodriguez holds an Advanced Police Officer certification and Instructor Certificate with TCOLE, Certified Crime Prevention Specialist (CCPS), and is certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
In 2005, Officer Rodriguez was awarded the Cedar Hill Police Department Rookie of the Year award.

Officer Ann McSwain - Beat 5
Officer McSwain has served with the Cedar Hill Police Department since 2007. She is currently assigned to the P.A.C.T. unit in Beat 5 or more commonly known as the business district. Officer McSwain serves as the central business liaison which includes Hillside Village and the Old Down Town area.
Officer McSwain holds an Advanced Peace Officer license and is pursing certification as a Crime Prevention Specialist. She was awarded the Rookie of the Year in 2008 and Officer of the Year in 2013.
