CrimeMapping

We are pleased to provide CrimeMapping.com to search for preliminary crime information. You will be leaving the Cedar Hill Police Department website for the crime mapping website. This site provides the ability to view preliminary police reporting information and is subject to change. CrimeMapping.com utilizes an advanced mapping engine, which provides a high level of functionality as well as the flexibility to the communities we serve. Crime data is extracted on a daily basis from each department's records system so that the information being viewed through a Web browser is the most current available. All address information is proximity only and generalized by block in order to help ensure privacy is protected.

Online Reporting

The Cedar Hill Police Department has implemented an online reporting tool for citizens to make certain types of police reports.  This is not a replacement for 911 and citizens are encouraged to call 911 for crimes in progress or other emergency situations.

The following types of incidents may be reported online:

  • Burglary of Motor Vehicle
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Theft
  • Credit Card Abuse
  • Annoying or Harassing Phone Calls
  • Lost Property
  • Request for Traffic Enforcement

Reports made online will be assigned for follow up within 3 business days.
