Youth Sports Associations
Cedar Hill Parks and Recreation Department provides a safe and fun learning environment for Cedar Hill’s Youth. Our goal is to create an opportunity for children to work together as a team and develop their talent. We emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for authority figures (directors, coaches, game officials, and opponents).
The Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with the following associations in order to teach these qualities and characteristics to each participant in our youth athletic programs. The following associations are run by volunteers with a passion for teaching Cedar Hill’s future. Specific questions regarding sports sponsored by these organizations can be answered by contacting each organization directly.

Disc Golf
Disc Golf is a lot like traditional golf, except players use specially made plastic discs that look like Frisbees. The object of the game is to throw the golf disc into the target, typically a basket with which chains hang from, in the fewest number of throws. Cedar Hill has 3 Disc Golf Courses suitable for recreational and competitive play.
Lester Lorch Nature Preserve is home to the 2 challenging 18 hole courses, Beaver and Coyote.
Plummer Elementary, park adjacent to Plummer Elementary is home to the 9 hole recreational course.
Improve your Tennis skills by participating in personal lessons instructed by Martha Franklin. Tennis balls will be provided for each lesson, so all you need is your favorite racket and the eagerness to learn.
