Spinning Yarns: Exploring Fiber Arts
Friday, September 22, 2023
Come out to explore the different techniques used to make fiber arts out on the Blackland Prairie!
The art of making goods out of different fibers is as old as humankind. Clothing, packaging, tools and more were made with materials collected from nature to ensure the survival of people living in harsh landscapes. Join us with the Zula B. Wylie Public Library as we explore the various materials and techniques used to create much needed products used to survive and thrive in the prairie grasslands of North Texas! The Zula B. Wylie Public Library will be providing supplies for you to try your hand at some of these crafting techniques and you are welcome to bring your own fiber arts projects to work on as well!
Free event (including entrance fees). Registration required.
