The City of Cedar Hill appreciates the volunteer spirit of its citizens and serving on a board or commission is a great way to get more involved with your community.  The City Council appoints board members on an annual basis. 

Application Process

We will begin accepting applications for 2023 board and commission appointments on Monday, April 3, 2023 and will continue to accept applications until 5pm on Friday, May 19, 2023.   Click here to submit an application. 

Once the application period ends, the City Secretary’s Office will begin contacting all new applicants to schedule a short in-person interview with the City Council.  The City Council will conduct interviews at a special called meeting, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 6pm and on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 6pm (only if needed).   Interviews are scheduled in 5-10 minute increments. 

New Board Member Orientation

New Board Member Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 6pm.   All newly appointed board members are required to participate in the new board member orientation.
